The Beatles Are Back With Two Of Their Most Successful Albums

The Beatles will always be hometown favorites in the U.K. It seems that no matter how much time goes by, their music will never stop being consumed in the country where they formed and initially found fame. That ongoing love is on full display this week, as the group sees two of their most successful albums return to the charts in that nation.

Two of The Beatles’ beloved compilations reappear on the U.K. albums chart. Both have already spent more than a year on the tally, but now they’re back after falling away not too long ago.

The highest-ranking of the two is 1967-1970, which is also known as the Blue album to longtime Beatles lovers. The set covers the hits from the second half of their career. This frame, it blasts back onto the list of the most-consumed full-lengths at No. 59.

Further down the U.K. albums chart comes another closely-associated project from the band. 1962-1966 reappears at No. 86 on the 100-spot roster of the most popular collections in the country. 1962-1966 is the Red album, which further helps separate it from the similarly-titled compilation that currently ranks much higher.

The Beatles’ music could be surging in popularity again thanks to the news that the four movies being made about the members of the band may have found their cast. No official announcements have been made just yet, but it looks like actors may have signed on to portray Paul, Ringo, George, and John.
